In order to identify the carriers & barriers, strenghts & development potentials in the European lighting industries, ELCA is conducting a mapping of the European lighting resources within the fields of research & education, clusters & networks,
test labs & lighting centres, and the different kinds of industries in the sector.
The purpose is to give decision makers on a regional, national and European level a tool and a better basis for policymaking and adjustments of practice, as well as to improve accessibility to European lighting resources and facilitate cross-national collaboration and exploitation of resources in a specialization perspective.
